HireVibes Quarterly Update

Welcome to our quarterly update; a brief overview to keep our community in the know of all the latest progress made with launching the Beta version of HireVibes.On the whole, it looks like we may have weathered the latest Crypto Winter ☃️A new bull market is emerging as the whole cryptocurrency space appears to have entered a new growth cycle. With a plethora of new crypto projects entering the space almost daily now, the demand for blockchain talent is increasing, which in turn is amplifying HireVibes’ value proposition of being a go-to place to crowdsource high quality candidates — who in turn can earn free Bitcoin and other crypto’s as rewards for getting hired.Our goal is to build Web3’s job searching and freelancing platform, together with our community. Here are the recent steps we’ve made towards realising this vision:1. HireVibes Freelance Smart Contracts in TestingWith the traditional jobs market experiencing a sharp recession in recent months, the Freelance gig space is booming.We found the right balance between resources and privacy with the architecture of our smart contracts, which will have awesome new features for future freelancers. Our first implementation will cover both short (one time) and long term (contract) Freelance opportunities.Ensuring a good Hirer-Freelancer relationship is paramount, so we’ll have in place some methods to keep it professional, fair and safe for both parties via an escrow fund in case of any disputes. The smart contracts are being tested right now and we are iterating on the UI/UX.2. HireVibes DAC Formation has begunA group of stalwarts from the HireVibes community who have been supporting the project in various ways, have stepped up to initiate the formation of HireVibes DAC (which is explained here in a previous post). A constitution that sets out the structure for HireVibes community to govern itself is being reviewed and once approved, the DAC can be formed.Once set up, EOS accounts containing HVT (currenrly valued at ~$38,667) will be handed over to be managed by the elected custodians on behalf of the community.3. New Client & New Reward Option — Energy Web Foundation & $EWTEnergy Web is accelerating a low-carbon, customer-centric electricity system by enabling any energy asset owned by any customer to participate in any energy market. To do so, they develop and deploy open-source decentralized technologies — the Energy Web Decentralized Operating System (EW-DOS) — with a global community of more than 100 energy market participants.Currently seeking a Back End Developer, this position can be based remotely or from one of their offices located in Amsterdam or Berlin where there is free snacks, coffee, mate, sodas, beer.The successful candidate and referrer will earn / share a 3% reward based on the salary offered, and we’re happy to announce that the Energy Web Token (EWT) is added to HireVibes as a reward option for this opening, alongside HVT, Bitcoin and EOS.4. BlockBase PartnershipEarlier this quarter we revealed plans to develop a data marketplace using BlockBase’s novel side-chain system. While our limited engineering resources are focused on delivering the Freelance Marketplace, we’re excited to turn our attention to developing this feature in the future with contribution from our community.5. HV-DeFi?Decentralised Finance is emerging as one of the best use cases of blockchain and smart contract technology. DeFi is leveraging all decentralized networks to implement traditional financial concepts in a trustless and transparent manner.Defibox.io is leading the charge on the EOS DeFi front, and is comparable to Uniswap on the Ethereum Blockchain.HVT has been added to Defibox — we will seed it with an initial amount of EOS and HVT token liquidity in the coming weeks. Anyone is welcome to provide liquidity to this pool and earn rewards as a result.Lastly, we’re exploring creating a wrapped HireVibes Token (wHVT) on the Ethereum blockchain, for various reasons. HireVibes plans Data Market...

Data privacy, data ownership and data monetization are all being aggressively remodelled in the emerging Web3 era thanks to the rise of blockchain technology. There is a shared stoic aim to give power back to the users; the data creators, and move it out of the hands of large centralised walled gardens.Owner of the largest talent database in the world, LinkedIn made a staggering $6 billion in revenues last year which was largely generated from selling data on 500+ million users to recruitment agencies, marketing agencies and talent acquisition teams located across the world. People own and monetise their skills on the open, free market. Yet when it comes to data — on LinkedIn and most other legacy internet platforms, people neither own, control nor monetize their data. But now is time for change — cryptocurrency powered social recruiting platform; HireVibes, is leading the charge.With companies from 15+ cities globally like block.one, Voice, Zeotap, using the platform to build their teams, professionals can already recruit themselves or their peers to job openings and earn a commission in the process. However, all user data is centrally stored on a company’s server, so the same data risks still apply.Enter BlockBase. Based out of Lisbon, Portugal, the BlockBase Network is revolutionizing data storage services and like HireVibes; it uses the power, speed and flexibility of the EOS blockchain to achieve its goals. On LinkedIn, Recruiters need to pay between $100 — $500pm to access LinkedIn profiles at volume, none of which is redirected back to the profile owners sadly.On HireVibes however, Recruiters will be able to search HireVibes database of CV’s, but instead of paying a monthly subscription to do so, Recruiters will pay micropayments in HireVibes native utility token (HireVibes Tokens) to unlock full profiles. The exact payment required to access profiles will be set individually by each user, giving rise to one of the first novel use cases of a decentralized data marketplace.This move will greatly benefit recruiters and marketers in aswel as professionals, as lower cost to access talent data will be ensured. Additionally, a small portion of each micropayment will be directed to the HireVibes community account for HVT holders to vote on its use / distribution in it’s up and coming Decentralised Autonomous Community portal in HireVibes 2.0.More details of this feature will be shared closer to launch and bounty’s will be offered to incentivise development from the community. HireVibes 2.0 Announcement

We’re excited to announce the upcoming release of HireVibes Beta version, HireVibes 2.0 — which will be rolled out in two phases over Q2 & Q3 of 2020, but with a twist☺️Phase 1: Features updatesPhase 2: HireVibes DAC launchMacro perspectiveThe jobs sector has declined in recent months and has drastically shifted from a candidate’s market to a hirers market. Millions of talented people find themselves out of work, so it’s imperative to make it as easy as possible to find new opportunities and build teams using HireVibes. The following updates will be steps to enable this.Phase 1: HireVibes 2.0 Feature UpdatesThe following features will be released in HireVibes Beta:(i) New Job TypesNew job types will include: Freelance — Bounty — Voluntary — ProjectsThese job types will be completely free to list initially.HireVibes Tokens (HVT) will be the default currency for freelance payments.(ii) Job Categorization and FilteringJob listings will be easily searchable by category and keyword.HireVibes open talent database will also have search functionality to easily filter through relevant profiles.(iii) Optional RewardCurrently on HireVibes, Hirers are required to set a 6% reward to incentivise larger volumes of direct applications and peer referrals — which is only paid if a hire is made. Over 90% of this reward is currently redistributed between: the successful candidate; the referrer; a charity of the successful candidates choice; and the HireVibes community. Over $25K in total rewards have amassed since HireVibes Alpha was launched in July 2019.However due to the current state of global labour markets, we’ve decided to make the reward optional for a limited trial period of 3 months. This will help increase the amount of vacancies listed, while the optional reward system will give employers the ability to “Power Up” their job post if they want to attract applicants in a faster time frame.(iv) Agency On-BoardingOne of the main players within the recruitment industry is Recruitment Agencies. Even though it’s an intermediary business, many in this space are continuously looking to innovate and ride the next technological breakthrough that’s coming to their industry. Initially, HireVibes was aiming to disrupt the recruitment industry, however, over the last 3 months we have seen an opportunity to augment it instead.We spoke with staffing firms located across North America and Europe and found an interest to potentially get involved — but only if the HireVibes fee was reduced to 3% or lower. So with the reward soon to be temporarily optional, this will provide a perfect environment to on-board staffing firms to the HireVibes network.Some recruitment agencies even signalled a desire to run to be Custodians of the network. Any entities and community members that wish to run as a HireVibes DAC Custodian will need to hold and stake HVT and add value to the network to increase the chances of getting elected by the community. Introducing the corporate world to the HireVibes Token is something new which would benefit the whole ecosystem.(v) MentoringThe demand for upskilling has also increased in recent times, so users will be able to signal on their HireVibes profile of their desire to look for mentoring opportunities or provide mentoring to others. Education is a never ending journey so we think many will find value from this.Mentors will also be able to request payment for their time in HVT, which may grow into an open marketplace for education.Phase 2: HireVibes DACSince the original HireVibes whitepaper was published in 2018, the mission has always been to create a decentralized jobs app that was managed by it’s community of users.To date, HVS Ltd has been unable to secure funding. As such, after 3+ years of extensive work with limited resources, the company will perform a limited supportive role only and will hand the keys of HireVibes over to its new home owners: The HireVibes community, a.k.a; HireVibes DAC.‘’DAC’’ stands for Decentralized Autonomous Community and is the term used to describe the community of HireVibes Token (HVT) holders that control the platform with the aid of smart contracts. Becoming a DAC means HireVibes will be further developed and governed in a decentralized fashion from the ground up, and will not have any central entity dictating its course from the top-down.HireVibes DAC LaunchAfter the HireVibes 2.0 feature updates are released, it will be up to the HireVibes and EOS communities to launch HireVibes DAC. With the DAC Factory provided by eosDAC, it’s now both easy and quick to launch a new DAC. Given there will be no centralised entity taking profit from the platform, we hope the EOS community sees HireVibes as a public good — a primary place to find EOS related job opportunities and talent.When HireVibes DAC is launched, HVS Ltd will share the HireVibes codebase with the DAC Custodians who will be elected in a genesis vote by the community of HVT holders. Earn free BTC + EOS on Hire...

HireVibes is a jobs app that makes hiring and job searching both easy, and rewarding. We are delighted to announce that as of today, a new utility is added to the HireVibes Token (HVT).Users that stake 1.5m HVT (~$500) to the HireVibes network now have the option to receive their rewards from referring and getting hired in Bitcoin or in EOS.Example:Alice finds her dream job on HireVibes that’s paying $100,000. As Alice applied directly to the role (i.e. she wasn’t referred), she will earn a reward equivalent to 3% of the offered salary (3% of $100K = $3,000) thanks to HireVibes magical reward system.Before today, Alice would receive her full $3,000 reward in HireVibes Tokens over 3 equal distributions;1) $1,000 worth of HVT rewards 30 days after start date2) $1,000 worth of HVT rewards 60 days after start date3) $1,000 worth of HVT rewards 90 days after start date.‍However as of today, Alice can now choose to receive just the first $500 of her reward in HVT and if she stakes these HVT (1,500,000 HVT to be exact) via the HireVibes website, then she can receive the remainder of her reward distributions in Bitcoin or EOS — whichever she prefers!Rules:Alice can choose to get the full 3% reward in BTC or EOS if she has 1.5m HVT staked 1 week before reward distributions start.If Alice chooses to get her full reward in HVT, HireVibes Services will give her an extra 2.5% of the rewards value in HVT as an added incentive to choose HireVibes Tokens.The 1.5m HVT stake requirement to unlock this utility may be reduced if/when the HVT price rises. HireVibes Donation Reward to buy 13 sleeping bags ❄️❄️❄️With that, the person who became the 10th hire on HireVibes has chosen to give his Donation Reward to an Irish charity called FeedOurHomeless (HireVibes second partner charity). This free donation (which is equivalent to 1% of the candidates’ starting salary) will be used to buy 13 sleeping bags for people sleeping on the streets this winter. As we have just released HireVibes Alpha, we would like to take the opportunity to update the community on some stats and success stories we have seen in the first two weeks of being live. We’ve created this space for Hirer’s to add their logo, some details about what they do, what it’s like to be a part of their team, all the open jobs they have advertised, and any other info they would like to create a rich profile.4. Mobile ResponsivenessSome pages currently work on mobile but need to be tweaked and improved.5. Job categorization6. The ability for hirers to add multiple email addresses to their account — actioning applicants and setting up interviews is usually a team affair!7. We are excited to announce that the HireVibes alpha release is now live!As of today, people from all around the world can apply and refer to job openings with exciting companies located in 11 major cities across 7 different countries spread over 4 continents. And for the first time ever, people can earn their own recruiting fee and donation reward from the hiring process using the power of HireVibes Tokens (HVT) and the EOS.IO blockchain.We worked very hard to get to this day, and we will continue to do so as we tweak and refine the user experience and systems that run HireVibes. In the unlikely event that some things may not function as intended, remember this is an Alpha release for a reason — to work closely with a small number of hirers enabling us to test, learn from, continue to validate and grow.We have several other updates that we would like to share:Hirer Onboarding StrategyAn effective onboarding strategy is very important. HireVibes Development Updat...

👋 Hello again 👋We’re working on so many exciting developments in the HireVibes ecosystem, we won’t be able to share them all in just one blog post. This piece will share insight into some of the key updates and we will be ramping up our communications in the coming weeks to share everything else.HVT Staking Distribution will be extended for another 3 months!The staking system that was released on the 1st of February of this year was due to finish at the end of April. However, due to the amazing growth and engagement this has generated for the whole HireVibes community, this initiative is being extended for at least another 3 months.The staking details and process will remain the same (Rewards details: 50,000 HVT in a daily staking pool for 3 months (May — July) = ~5,000,000 HVT). More details can be found on our website: https://www.hirevibes.io/stake.With over 2,000 average weekly transactions and a solid base of daily active users, this staking system not only gives us a way to test the robustness of our smart contract, it also provides an incentive to grow the HireVibes community as well as ensuring a wider distribution of the HVT token.Alpha Release moved to Q2Our original plan to ship HireVibes Alpha at the end of Q1, 2019 has changed to Q2. We understand we have a great opportunity to disrupt the recruitment world, and we want to make sure we do it right. The Alpha will be focused around advertising real jobs — to apply, refer and reward for successful hire. We’ll be working with a closed group of Hirers to support them to post their jobs, manage applicants, and make hires. And as this is an Alpha version, all donations will go to our charity partner Humane Love until we onboard more charities to HireVibes. A full roadmap will be released in the coming months.Free EOS AccountsYes, you read that correctly! For the first 2,000 people who apply and refer to job ads successfully, HireVibes will cover the cost of creating their EOS account if they need or want one.This initiative will reduce a main barrier to entry for all the people outside the crypto world who have no prior experience setting up an EOS account. As HireVibes is a Dapp for people from all walks of life, we feel this will help increase adoption; not just for HireVibes, but for the EOS ecosystem and the wider crypto community in general.HireVibes user account model has two components: the user account and the blockchain account. For now, we believe this is the most suitable approach as it enables users to get faster access to our platform. Once a hire is made the power of the EOS blockchain is needed to process transactions and distribute rewards; HireVibes will cover the cost of creating the user’s EOS blockchain account.However, security is our top priority, so we’re developing a unique signature provider (Key management tool) to enable super easy storage of account keys for each user. Asia is a key target market for HireVibes, with China representing the largest market for recruitment agency services in the world, which HireVibes is going to be entering this year.3. Speaking with Employers — inside the EOS ecosystem...and outsideSince the release of the HireVibes user prototype https://prototype.hirevibes.io/signup in November 2018, a number of fledgling EOS startups seeking to grow their teams have expressed interest in using HireVibes Dapp to crowdsource their next hires.With that, we are actively speaking with startups, mid sized companies and large multinational companies, mainly in the IT sector. The competition for talent is ever-increasing, which means employers are constantly on the lookout for new ways to find, connect and hire skilled team members. Given the CSR (corporate social responsibility) layer that’s built into HireVibes business model, we are enjoying educating companies on how they can leverage HireVibes in a brand empowering way when the platform is live this year.5. Legal entity planning — new company formationSince we are building a decentralised application to operate in the mainstream enterprise world serving legal entities, we were always aware that a ‘’vessel’’ of some kind, or a number of ‘vessels’ would be needed to enter and float in the sea of commerce.We are actively working on setting up the HireVibes Foundation which will be a service provider to HireVibes DAC, the community of HireVibe token holders. However, we are also working on setting up a new legal entity in a suitable jurisdiction which will house the current HireVibes development team and give us a solid base to develop and grow the HireVibes ecosystem from. There are alot of ambitious yet realistic plans in the pipeline, and we want to give HireVibes all the support it needs to operate in the wild efficiently and compliantly. More details to be released soon.6. Speaking with InvestorsHireVibes to date has captured the attention of people and businesses inside and outside the EOS community. However, we are not here for capturing attention, HireVibes is getting ready for mainstream adoption. Furthermore, to have the ability to create a new decentralised hiring network that competes with internet giants like LinkedIn, Indeed and Upwork, as well as with centralised recruitment agencies like Adecco, Manpower, Randstad etc; a number of resources like capital, increased head-count etc are needed.The new company formation listed above will provide the structure needed for receiving significant investment. We are speaking with a number of investors and talks are progressing positively. As soon as we have news to share, we won’t hesitate in sharing it with the community.7. Partnership growthOur current partners have been invaluable to us so far, providing advice and guidance when it’s needed. We are looking to add to our list of partners who can provide value and who are aligned to our goals. Right now, we are exploring partnerships with proven incubators in this space, reputable EOS block producers and with HR consultancies who are interested in being HireVibes channel sales partners.8. FIAT Gateways — enable companies to pay in FIAT currenciesInnovation in the EOS space is ever-increasing, and we are constantly evaluating the current array of fiat gateway solutions offered by 3rd party vendors, as well as the custom solutions being developed by other EOS startups.There are a number of service providers available to help solve these problems. While we are cognisant of these, we are also developing a simple model that will allow companies using HireVibes to pay in fiat currencies like USD, CNY, EUR etc in a seamless and frictionless manner. This is one current barrier to entry as not many companies are ready to pay for services using crypto-tokens. However with the amount of infrastructure under development, its one barrier we feel will be significantly reduced in the near future.9. Website design iterationIn the background, we give our hand at exploring an updated look and feel to our brand. Trying to find something that really resonates with us and our community. Below is a taste of a visual direction we’re interested in. We’ll apply it to our site soon, see how it resonates with people, and progress from there. Let us know what you think!10. Admin panel added to HireVibesWe’ve added the ability for admins to make adjustments to jobs, applications and companies in the HireVibes platform, enabling our team to initially manage the hiring experience through HireVibes. This feature paves the way to giving access to Hirers to manage jobs and applicants through their company page. HireVibes Update: HVT Staki...

Happy New Year HireVibes Community!In a previous blog post entry we talked about our temporary staking program, which will commence on Feb 1, 2019. We have implemented this rewards programs in order to reward our early supporters and believers. After the 3 months is over we plan to open our platform to staking for real earned HVT rewards as outlined in our lightpaper (See section “How are HireVibes Tokens (HVT) used?”).We envision HireVibes to be a disruptive decentralized application which will put the community first in many aspects, from governance of our platform, to the distribution of rewards.The global recruitment market was reported to be worth $428 billion in 2016, with an expected annual growth of 8.6%. Airdrop Update — HVT for Everyone!The HireVibes team is happy to announce that as of Monday December 3rd, we will officially claim HVT for all unclaimed accounts. The 2nd “claim invitation” period is no longer necessary, and you will no longer be able to claim after Monday December 3rd as the HV team will claim for you. This means EOS account holders that have not yet claimed their HVT from the airdrop will be able to keep their HVT without having to claim themselves!As a bonus to all accounts that did claim HVT by Monday December 3rd at 1300 UTC, as well as accounts which were missed on the airdrop, HireVibes will give an extra % of HVT to those accounts. The exact bonus % will be announced, and the delivery of tokens will happen by Wednesday December 5th.We are doing this because we listened to the needs our community and it also means HVT will be a more widely distributed token, which is essential for a vibrant token economy.While we are appreciative to AirdropsDAC to get a chance to trial a new innovative airdrop method (claim invitations), the HireVibes team will complete the airdrop, and distribute tokens to everyone on the snapshot.For us it is important to have a widely distributed token and a happy engaged community, and we felt these actions needed to be taken to ensure both.HVT distribution update:The max supply of HVT is 350M. HireVibes Joins the Bancor ...

HireVibes, a new crowd-sourcing Jobs DAPP being built on EOS is today announcing it will adopt the Bancor Protocol to provide continuous liquidity for the HireVibes platform. We will release the exact details at a later point in time of how many HVT tokens we will activate in the Bancor Network. By integrating the Bancor Protocol, HVT token holders will gain access to continuous liquidity regardless of trade volume or exchange listings, through the Bancor Network. Here is a list of tokens/projects already on the Bancor Network.Earlier this week, in a Roadmap Update post, the team developing HireVibes DAPP communicated that the HireVibe Token (HVT) Airdrop date has been moved out by a couple of weeks to mid Q4 in order to bring partnership and network opportunities to fruition. Welcome to HireVibes updated Roadmap. We’ve been busy building and we’re especially excited about what this next three and a half months will bring.Our updated roadmap has been setup and it features lots of cool content, updates and releases to look forward to in Q4 2018.In our last update post we shared the update of the HireVibes Partnership fund that’s been created to assist our development efforts.
